Our variable drives turn your single-speed pump into a multi-speed pump. Your pump will become more efficient and use less energy than ever before. It will operate at a lower speed for filtration and a higher speed for pool cleaning.

Swimming pool pumps should ideally have two speeds for the circulation system, however standard pumps only have one speed i.e. “Full Speed”. When you backwash or clean the filtration system it’s great to have a strong flow, but it is much too powerful and unnecessary for 99% of the normal running hours. You can operate our variable drive attached to your pump on its low-speed setting for most of its running time, leading to significant energy savings.

Changing your pump to a slower energy efficient speed, will allow the water to pass through the filter at the right flow and pressure. A slow flow rate also has the added benefit of improving the pool’s filtration efficiency, enhancing the clarity of the swimming pool water.

Lowering a pump’s flow rate not only significantly decreases the pump’s energy requirements, but also reduces water flow resistance in your pool equipment and plumbing, including other benefits too.
